The unofficial start of summer was Memorial Day, but since we’ve received enough rain to land just short of biblical flooding since then, the warm and dry weather projected for this weekend is the perfect chance to kick off summer for real at the inaugural Smoky Run Music Festival outside of Columbus.

Young Heirlooms have curated the Folk Fall Festival at Southgate House Revival on September 8, 2018.

Scott and Seth Avett have been singing and performing together for so long it’s a little erie how well they harmonize. On Tuesday night, they brought their brand of Blood Harmony to a sold-out show at the Fraze Pavillion up in Kettering, Ohio.

The DevouGrass Music & Arts Festival has announced its musical lineup and entertainment for 2018. The festival, now in its fifth year, will take place on Saturday, October 6 from noon until dusk at the Devou Park band shell.

Americana Spotlight is a bi-annual showcase featuring bands that Young Heirlooms have met and played with along the road from touring their album, The Hammer. Americana Spotlight is happening at The Woodward Theater on Saturday, August 18th!

The Young Heirlooms are releasing a new album tonight called The Hammer. I agreed to do this review three weeks ago, so the day before it comes out should be the ideal time to get started on it, right? Uh… sorry, Young Heirlooms. I’ll get on this right away. In the interest of time, I will play the album for the first time on my lunch break and write out my reactions as I listen.

Cincinnati, get ready. The Young Heirlooms are releasing The Hammer on Friday, October 20th at The Woodward Theater. The Hammer will be not only the first album released from the band since 2014, but also the first album with their 6-piece lineup!
