Editor Year in Review: 2023

Photo Cred: Travis Brandner

2023 was a year of discovering new artists, diving deeper into the stories of bands I love, and booking events around town. Often, I have to pinch myself that I get to do all of this on the daily.

A number of the highlights for me in 2023:

Glen Phillips
Glen Phillips is one of my favorite artists of all time. Truly a bucket list interview for me.

Dallas Moore
Dallas Moore is a local legend. To be able to chat with him about the release party at SGHR for No God In Juarez was pretty great.

Taking Back Sunday
TBS are emo royalty! I was over the moon to interview Shaun before the show!

Easy Mark
Easy Mark is a friend of mine and I am SO excited that he has started this journey. Keep your eye on this guy.

Mike Bustamante
Mike is a staple in the local scene. I was thrilled that he reached out to me for this interview. Many thanks to Jared Bowers for the photos!

Bandages
Every so often I get floored by a band upon the first few notes of a live set. This happened when I saw Bandages at The Southgate House Revival for IRON FEST.

I am honored and proud to book artists for Indie Fridays Powered by CincyMusic for 3CDC on Fountain Square, at Oktoberfest for Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, the FIRST Locals Only show at MegaCorp Pavilion with 500 Miles to Memphis, Noah Smith, and Sundae Drives, and a few more opening acts around town!

The music and community that we have here is unrivaled and I am thankful to be a part of it. Cheers to 2023 and bring it on 2024!
