About Noah Smith:
Noah Smith is a performing songwriter and independent artist coach who specializes in a natural musical inclination combined of native roots and roadworthy storytelling. Walking the line between Country and Rock n Roll with a vivid, ambitious pace. Noah Smith grew up exploring the endless trails of woods and still waters of Brown County, Ohio. At a very young age Noah knew music would be his life’s path. Cereal bowls turned into drum sets, endless hours of garage band practices, and an insatiable ambition that lyrics and melodies could transcend it all would be early indicators of his life filled with music. As a songwriter and a performer, Noah was influenced by a wide array of musical influence such as Paul Simon, Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, to bands like Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, and Death Cab for Cutie. Humbled by the impact these greats left on his life he often reflects on a modified version of his favorite Sir Isaac Newton quote, referring to himself as a boy who has “walked on the shoulders of giants.”
About 500 Miles to Memphis:
Formed in 2003, the boys of 500MTM came together on the banks of the Ohio River between Cincinnati, OH and Newport, KY. Their genre-bending take on Punk Rock and Americana has been received worldwide in the form of movies, tv, video games, and their award-winning live show. The band was originally signed to Deep Elm Records in 2007 and quickly gained a reputation nationwide for their rigorous touring schedule. The single “All My Friends are Crazy” was the first song that helped put the band on the map being included on live XGames events and other sports documentaries. It wasn’t until 2019 that 500MTM charted on national radio with the single “Hold on Tight.” Then 2020 happened. Making the most of it, the band wrote and recorded an album, Hard to Love in Ryan Malott’s (frontman) basement that was released by Paper+Plastick Records.
