The nucleus of 'Lo, the Loyal Conscripts' grew out of the wreckage of Cinci Alt Rock outfit If I Ever, with the goal of expressing lengthier post-rock ideas that touched more intimate and somber parts of the soul, while maintaining the aggressive nature that continues to simmer beneath the surface. Looking to past giants like the Mars Volta and Dredg as their guiding lights, Lo creates emotive passages that communicate a feeling of struggle and triumph. The Conscripts have shared the stage with the likes of Stolas, Hail the Sun and Icarus the Owl, as well as local favorites like Kid Stardust, Build Us Fiction and Colors in Mind. After releasing an EP in 2015, The Conscripts now carry their standard into a world of instrumental soundscapes, wading through the waters of rebirth.
