After issuing releases under the moniker Dark Colour, a shared performance in 2014 brought singer-songwriter Randall Rigdon Jr with UC colleagues Coleman Williams and Joseph Sparough, with Jeff Dawson joining on bass in 2016. In 2016 Dark Colour premiered their debut EP Animal on Kitabu Music for which they toured North America, from Montreal to Lousiville.
