Lemon Sky
"It sounds like you boys took the last forty years of rock and roll, chewed it up and spit it out on your new album." -Cynthia of ClassX Radio (Only slightly paraphrased) She was right, though - lemon Sky's yet-to-be-released self-titled album is forty-five minutes of rock bliss. Aaron Madrigal (guitar and vocals) and Steve Korfhagen (bass), the songwriters for the band, came together to forge an album that seems to appeal to music lovers young and old. The addition of lead guitar player, Ryan Hickey, gave Lemon sky the final component that turned Lemon Sky from a band to... well a BAND. When listening to Lemon Sky, you may get a little nostalgic for 1969.... or 1993. The vast pool of influences from which Lemon Sky draws upon shows through in their work: Led Zeppelin, The Smashing Pumpkins, Captain Beyond and Pink Floyd, to mention a few. But why read when you can listen? A couple tracks from Lemon Sky's new album are available for your listening pleasure. Make sure to visit Lemon Sky on Facebook for updates and show times!
