Cincinnati psychedelic rockers, Lemon Sky, are releasing their cleverly titled EP, Micro Dos, this weekend with a celebratory performance at MOTR Pub. Micro Dos follows their full-length album, Dos, released exactly 3 years ago in February of 2016.
The quintet is driven by 3 guitars (Aaron Madrigal, Ed Bruker, Eric Cronstein), anchored by a killer rhythm section (Steve Korfhagen-bass, Eric Keyes-drums), and topped off with soaring vocals (Aaron Madrigal) and intricate melodies. Their live performance is 100% worth catching. You’ll get all the nuances of a studio recording with all the extra power, energy, and little surprises that come with a live performance.
The modern indie rock meets classic rock EP is the perfect blend of familiarity and freshness. Between the pure rock-n-roll vibe of “I am One” to the progressive sound and unexpected melodies of “Moses Acid” you may not know what year it is or what genre you are listening to, but you won’t mind because it just works. I think their bio described their music best as “a forward-thinking sound rooted in the past.”
Come catch Lemon Sky with The Sublets (Cleveland) this Saturday at 9pm at MOTR!
