Happening tomorrow on ALL THREE STAGES at The Southgate House Revival, the first edition of MidWest Friends Fest kicks off with doors at 3:00pm and the first band starting in the Lounge at 4:15pm!
11 bands from across the midwest and eastern half of the US and 10 local bands from SW Ohio and NKY are joining forces with 6 local artists and 4 community organization to bring fans a full day of music, art, and community - if they aren’t friends before the show, they will be after.
We’ve introduced you to 7 of the 21 bands performing at this year’s inaugural run, including Honeycrush from Brooklyn, Nowhere Fast from Louisville, The Dreaded Laramie from Nashville, Columbus, OH’s Manor Gates, Mall Witch and Alex Kasznel & The Board of Directors from Cincinnati, and Huntsville band Camping In Alaska. The festival also recorded interviews with many of the local bands like Tooth Lures a Fang, Scarlet Street, Bear The Moon, Ryan Rockwell and more!
The Internet’s Mild Tidden did a series of blistering exposes with several of the bands, as well as Sean Kathman, co-founder of local non-profit Start Today Harm Reduction, who are debuting in the community at MidWest Friends Fest.
Joining Start Today, PFLAG Cincinnati will be on hand to speak to local LGBTQ+ issues, Abortion Fund of Ohio will be setup to talk about what they’re doing, what they need, and what we can do to help, and Red Wine & Blue, a nationwide women led voting rights and advocacy group - 2024 is one of the most important election years in recent history, and the fest’s organizers want everyone to be informed and ready to do their part.
Tickets are on sale for $30 through Friday, August 30, then prices go to $40 on the day of the show (they’ll be available online until about an hour before doors). Click here to get tickets for you and your friends!
