Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing bands coming to town to play this year’s first ever MidWest Friends Fest. Taking place on August 31 at The Southgate House Revival, MidWest Friends Fest features 21 local, regional, and national acts on all 3 stages, as well as a local artist and community partner showcase taking place the first half of the day.

Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Louisville, KY’s Nowhere Fast, an indie/pop/punk outfit ready to kick things off for everyone at this year’s fest.

First, thank you so much for taking the time to answer some questions for CincyMusic - we really appreciate it!
 No problem. Thank you for having us.

Some of our readers might not be familiar with the band - could you tell us a bit about Nowhere Fast?
 Nowhere is a band of four people who love writing and playing music together. We like plugging in and creating something. We have some records and singles out with a new one on the way, which we're excited to finally get out there.

Y’all aren’t far - just a bit south in Louisville - so what’s your experience been with the Cincinnati scene?
 We've mainly had some great shows in the Cincinnati area. We're super excited to be a part of Midwest Friends Fest and of course hang at Southgate House Revival. We've seen some great shows there over the years. I personally love the vibe of that so much.

Can you tell our readers how you got involved with MidWest Friends Fest, and what you’re most looking forward to?
 I saw the Midwest Friends Fest announcement somewhere. I'm sorry I don't remember, but I know I wanted Nowhere to be considered for the next one if this year was already booked up. I emailed you, and you were kind of enough to respond. You also gave us opportunities elsewhere right away, which we're very thankful for by the way! The lineup also grabbed me. There are bands some of us have been wanting to see. There's also a few friends scattered about playing too.

What’s happening in the Nowhere Fast camp after MidWest Friends Fest?
 We'll be right back to now, which is focusing on getting our new record Modern Archaic ready for release. We have quite a bit coming down the pipeline and we're excited to get to it.

 We'd like to thank Midwest Friends Fest again for having us. You all are killing it and we love it up your way.
