Following the release of their newest LP, Fake Control, along with several singles and videos, a northeast tour, and a bunch of live performances throughout 2023, Cincinnati Indie Power Pop quartet Tooth Lures A Fang has released their latest single - and last of the year - with a weird, fun, adventurous new video!

In the video for “Islands,” a trio of monsters set out on a quick trek across a neighborhood, heading towards an unknown destination with the help of a mysterious map. A few trials and tribulations later, then they’ve made it. And that’s all you really need to know.

Check out the video here, then get to the gig on Friday, October 27 at Legend’s to see Tooth Lures a Fang rock the shit out of the place opening for ultimate nerd rock shredders Rozwell Kid. All the info is on the show flyer below.

Full disclosure, I worked closely with the band on the video - collaborating, planning, directing, and filming with Zach from his concept, as well as working with DAAP student Darya Tsoy (who is also the Shadow Creature in the video) on making sure we were planning around the costumes she was designing and fabricating. Also, my partner Lydia got to portray the Big Muppet Plant Monster. We had a great time shooting in various locations on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
