This Wednesday, March 30 brings Chicago pop-punkers Pinksqueeze to The Southgate House Revival for a night of good times, lots of fun, and great music.
Joining the festivities, Cincinnati trio Actual Italians are coming back to perform live after a brief hiatus from playing out - so I imagine they’ll bring some energy to the stage. Pop-punk/emo stalwarts Scarlet Street - who are excitedly prepping their debut full-length for release this year - will be among the opening acts, as will Mathy Emo trio Old Pictures / New Pictures (read what I had to say about their debut EP here).
At a brisk 15 minutes, Pinksqueeze recently released their Quarter Life Crisis EP. Poppy, jangly, and infectiously upbeat, it’s a super quick but satisfying listen - and doesn’t just put a smile on your face now - it holds the promise of some really great music to come. Give it a listen right here. Hey Mike Park/Asian Man Records… how about it?
Check out the video for their single “Self Control” below, and GET TO THE GIG this Wednesday at Southgate House Revival.
