Cincinnati emo/pop-punk outfit Let It Happen have announced the release of their long-awaited follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2014 album, Cause + Effect. This time around, the band has put together a collection of songs years in the making - A Space For Emptiness.
“This album is the culmination of a decade of hard work,” says Let it Happen singer, Drew Brown. “We’ve been writing and producing songs until we had the perfect collection to call an album. I think it is my favorite work we’ve done to date.”
To celebrate the album’s imminent release, the band have tapped longtime friends and peers, Columbus, Ohio’s The Orphan The Poet, and Cincinnati’s Beloved Youth, to join them on stage at Madison Live on July 12.
“Coming back from a prolonged hiatus, we are so excited to be doing what we love most; performing for the very people that kickstarted our career and have been there from day one here in Cincinnati. We really can’t wait for everyone to experience it live.”
You can listen to the first two singles from A Space For Emptiness, “The Devil” and “Waves” on their Spotify. A third single, “Little Love,” is slated for release on May 22.
Tickets are on sale for the record release show now. My guess is this one sells out, so I’d get ‘em now.
