Check out the new Maura Weaver single and video, "Sunshine"

With just about a month to go before releasing Don Giovanni solo debut, I Was Due for a Heartbreak, Cincinnati’s Maura Weaver has dropped the first single - and new video - from the album.

“Sunshine” is a quiet, contemplative, albeit sunny-sounding offering, sung in falsetto, with subtle and rhythmic plucked strings throughout. It’s short, concise, lo-fi and minimalist, and a rather charming prelude for the album set to release on September 15. Check out the song and video below.

You’ll recognize Maura Weaver from a wide variety of bands, including Cincy Pop-Punk outfit Mixtapes, as well as her collaboration with Mike Park, Ogikubo Station, and other projects. Keep an eye on CincyMusic for more about the album, and some other fun stuff leading up to the album release show at Northside Tavern on September 22. Wussy Duo and Paige Beller will be joining her. Take a look at the flyer below and plan accordingly.
