Time to stock up on the party liquor folks. Unknown Hinson is headed to the Southgate House Revival this Saturday, September 21st.
With his over the top, macho infused politically incorrect themes and lyrics paired with a psychobilly/country twang guitar sound, Hinson’s talent packs one hell of a wallop. He has shared the stage with many notable rockabilly bands throughout the years such as The Reverend Horton Heat and Hank Williams III. However, for many Unknown Hinson may be best known for his role as Early Cuyler, the balding trucker hat sporting squid from Cartoon Network’s long running Adult Swim program The Squidbillies. Hinson’s portrayal of the hard-drinking squid has been a cult favorite for years and is not far off from his musical persona.
With his overgrown pompadour, ridiculous sideburns and vampire like teeth, Unknown Hinson is much like a cartoon character himself. Is he a country western comedic act? Or something...darker?
