Richie Ramone of The Ramones at SGHR

Richie Ramone may be best known as the former drummer for the world-famous Ramones from 1983-1987. He was in the band at the time of their performances and the legendary Jockey Club in Newport, KY (Now home to the Wooden Cask Brewing Company). During his time in the Ramones he wrote and composed six songs including one of my personal favorites, Somebody Put Something in my Drink.

Staying active in the music industry, Richie recorded with the Gobshites and Joey Ramone on his solo album before becoming a solo artist himself where he performs both the drums AND vocals, which is amazing for any musician, let alone a punk musician. With two albums under his belt, Entitled and Cellophane, Richie doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Richie Ramone will be performing at the Southgate House Revival on Friday, March 23th with support from local favorites Rat Trap, Tiger Sex, and The Pistol Mystics. If you are looking for a night filled with in your face punk rock and just a touch of danger, this is the show for you.
