Keeping it Local: Ringo Jones’ Thesis Defense

For the past year, Ringo Jones (of Mad Anthony) has been researching the intersection of streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube and their effect on local music scenes. His research examines how streaming services can improve the local landscape.

Ringo is an active member of the Cincinnati music community as a musician, producer, and fan. He will be defending his thesis on Monday, November 13th at Herzog Music, and the event is open to the public.

The event will include a very brief presentation on the Herzog studio's history, including sessions by Hank Williams, early King records artists, as the site of Cincinnati's first R&B session, and as a rehearsal space for Patti Smith, Sufjan Stevens and more.
