Chicago songwriter Jesse W. Johnson and his band, Coyote Scream are headed to The Mockbee on Wednesday, July 26th! The band is touring the country this summer in support of Jesse's 2nd full-length album, American Dumpster. Jesse W. Johnson & Coyote Scream play hooky-yet-dark rock & roll with the tiniest little twinge of country twang.
“I love dark music and I live even more music that sounds upbeat but has a melancholy lyric,” Johnson says. “I’m mainly influenced by Emily Haines, Neil Young, Nick Cave, and David Bazan. With thei EP, I think I’ve been able to mix these into something of my own, probably better than I ever have before.”
