Emily & The Complexes are excited to announce the release of their new album Baby, Get To It Before The Heartbreak, due out August 19, 2016 via Drunk Dads Records.

This will be the Columbus, Ohio-based band's third release after Styrofoam Plate Blues LP (2012) and Dirty Southern Love EP (2014).
Emily & the Complexes formed in 2012, after singer/guitarist Tyler Verhagen brought his hitchhiking tour of the country to an end in Columbus, where he teamed up with drummer Tom Konitzer, lead guitarist Brett Gregory, and bassist Jordan Finke to translate the songs he had written on the road into full band form.
In February 2016, the band headed to Chase Park Transduction in Athens, GA to work with beloved producer/engineer Drew Vandenberg (Mothers, Of Montreal, Futurebirds) for two weeks. "Baby, Get To It Before The Heartbreak " is what came out of those beautifully intense days in Georgia. The album was mastered by Doug Van Sloun out of Omaha, NE.
Baby, Get To It Before The Heartbreak is a melodically driven, lyrically focused indie rock album that can punch you in the gut or offer you a cig when you're fresh out. The album is a candid, cathartic time capsule that balances honest lyrics with musical spontaneity at the same time.
