Catch Harbour at Madison Live

Harbour is a 4-piece indie/rock group hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio. Since their formation in early 2014, this band has wasted no time creating a buzz. Harbour already boasts achievements like winning The Underground’s Battle of the Bands, showcasing at Bunbury Music Festival, and releasing their debut full-length album All within their first year as a band!

Harbour is playing Madison Live this Saturday with We are Forever, Static Wonder and Circle It. We sat down with Ryan Green of Harbour prior to the show Saturday!

We last spoke in July of 2014, what has been up with Harbour since then?
We've been busy since then. We've written and released a new EP last August entitled With Love, as well as playing festivals such as Longstone and CMJ in New York and a few small tours. However, we've really been working on growing our regional fanbase, we've had a few record setting sell out shows and I'd say our main focus has been expanding on that.

Is there a new album in the works?
There is a new album in the works currently. We've been writing like crazy and we're extremely excited about the new music we're writing. I think I speak for all of us by saying that we've never been more excited about a batch of songs up to this point.

Tell us about the show this Saturday, what can we expect?
We never truly know what to expect from any show. We know that us and our fans have an equal understanding that if we bring the energy, they bring the energy. We always try to create a positive, fun, energetic atmosphere at our shows, so you can at least expect that.

What's one thing our audience can do this week to engage in and help build up the Cincinnati Music Scene?
Speaking from us personally, I think there's a lot more out there than just the local bar scene. And that's not a dig on the bands that play those bars every weekend. I just don't think people realize that bands like us, and PUBLIC (who only play locally in Cincinnati 3-5 times a year) are out there, because we don't get the same kind of attention on local networks as the bands that play Cincinnati a few times a month or more.

What is next for Harbour?
Like I mentioned earlier, we're working hard on new music and are looking to push out a new album hopefully within the year. We're going to continue to expand regionally and focus on playing out as much as we possibly can. We're excited about this year!
