The 2015 Best New Bands Showcase will feature performances by 10 of Greater Cincinnati’s best local bands including performances by the Cincinnati Entertainment Award nominees for New Artist of the Year. I always enjoy the Best New Band Showcase each year as it has something for everyone. Being one who really does like every genre of music, it's nice to have so many types represented in one night at one venue. Join us at Bogart's this Saturday! Dream Tiger
Emerging from the fog back-lit by bass heavy drums and intricately woven synths, dream tiger takes the stage. Though small in stature, Liz Wolf's channeled emotion fills the room with vocals powerful enough to stop anyone in their tracks, and with good reason. She debuted her solo project onstage and released her first album titled SELF in 2013 while moonlighting as keyboardist for WHY?. Wolf has since made the dream tiger concept a reality and continues to leave lasting impressions on audiences across the US.

Honeyspiders
Honeyspiders are a Rock n' Roll band comprised of Jeremy Harrison, Chris Harrison, Kamal Hiresh, Cole Walsh-Davis and a revolving cast of friends and lovers from around the Cincinnati music scene.

PRIM is a very new gritty, electronic dream pop band fronted by one of our local favorites, Molly Sullivan.

Elk Creek
Elk Creek is an indie, blues, rock band. Their songs feature the overdriven harmonica solos of Jeremy Brown, guitar from classically trained Brad Smith, and the vocals of Aaron Price. Drummer Travis Estell and bassist Nick Whittenburg provide the foundation for the songs. Elk Creek’s debut EP, titled Greenfield Project, was released this past summer. The 7-song EP was recorded at Ultrasuede Studio in Cincinnati, owned by Afghan Whigs bassist John Curley.

Leggy is a dream garage, babewave Rock n' Roll band made up of Véronique Allaer, Kerstin Bladh and Christopher Campbell. This band will leave you hypnotized.
Noah Smith
You can feel Southern Ohio in Noah Smith’s music. American Rock and Roll with a country accent fills the room when Smith takes the stage. The singer/songwriter musician has been writing and signing since he was just 12 years old growing up along the banks of the Ohio in Brown County. Now the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music graduate finds himself between home and Nashville as he writes and records his solo debut. Within Smith’s soothing iconic themed ballads is a revival of heartfelt lyrics mixed with the rock and roll grit. Influenced by his love of family, America, and the quintessential 1980’s jam session, Smith reminds you of your first love, last heartbreak and everything in between.

Kate Wakefield
Dark cello lines create a skeletal foundation for haunting vocal melodies wrapped in post-operatic loops. Smudging the thin lines of genre with compositions ranging from minimalist textured pieces to full blown walls of sound, Wakefield pushes the boundaries of what is expected in solo performance.
JetLab
Blasting up from the cityscape of Cincinnati, OH are JetLab, an American 3-piece band, fronted by songwriters Elle Crash and Nick Barrows, with drummer Dave Welsh. Grounded in the tradition of groups with multiple singers and writers, JetLab offers a wild two-sided perspective that merges rock and soul with dance and electronica, wrapping heart-hitting bass in loops of keyboards with acoustic and electric guitar with just a ghostly hint of hip-hop. The band formed in 2013, based on a bet between Elle and Nick to see if they could create something that would marry the mix of rock and dance that would entice the Cincinnati scene to lose control and dance again.

Harbour
Harbour is an Indie Alternative Rock from Lebanon, Ohio made up of Ryan Green, Levi Snyder, Harrison Miller and Matt Starcher. Once known as The Monument - and then, only a 3-piece - their new moniker Harbour signaled a slight change in direction, but has set the band further and faster along a trajectory that was already considerable in it’s arc.

Near Earth Objects is a band based out of Cincinnati, Ohio and comprised of Leland Davis, Devin Clarke, and Richard Inman. Forming in late 2011, the band has been working on writing and recording two EP's and playing live shows.
