The alt-pop, indie-rock trio, The Locals are playing The Comet tonight! The Locals have been a part of the Chicago music scene for over a decade and tour extensively throughout the Midwest. Front-woman and songwriter, Yvonne Doll is originally from Cincinnati and was recently featured in Guitar World Magazine's "Ten Female Guitarists You Should Know". On bass, Christy Nunes brings an element of funk, rock, punk, acoustic and jazz to The Locals. She also happens to be a a photographer and knife wielding maniac. Last but not least, Tommy Oedering is a skilled drummer and drum-smith. He recently migrated to Chicago to make drums for Chicago Custom Percussion. 

The Locals are on tour in support of the EP, "SALT".The fifth studio effort is unapologetically guitar heavy alt-pop. A sound in the likes of The Pixies meet the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Breeders.
