The Locals have played across the USA from Dewey Beach Pop Fest (DE) to Summerfest (WI) to YouBloom Festival (Los Angeles). Their touring region recently expanded to MI, IA, MO, KY, OH, MI, IN, WI, NYC. They have played marquee venues : The Metro (Chicago) and Schubas (Chicago), Lincoln Hall, Taste of Chicago, Summerfest (opening for Joan Jett), Midpoint Music Festival, YouBloom Festival (Los Angeles), Indie Rock Invitational (MI) and more. Their music will be featured on the sound track of "My Fair Dude" (a romantic comedy due out 2016). The band will be traveling to SXSW to play the MusicGorilla Showcase (2015).
The release of Stereostatic Funicular (their 6th release) landed them appearance on WGN (a national broadcast), Vocalo Radio (WBEZ), a half page feature in The Chicago Tribune. Lead singer/guitarist, Yvonne Doll was just featured as one of the "Top Female Guitarists You Should Know" (Guitar World Magazine) "Stereostatic Funcular" was produced by Steven Gillis (Filter, Naked Raygun) and features guest musicians like Jason Narducy (Bob Mould, Split Single, Superchunk, Verbow, Telekenisis). The Locals music will be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming Rom-Com "My Fair Dude".
The band released a follow-up single to Stereostatic Funicular in 2014 called "The Willful Suspension of Disbelief". The single was followed by a brand new video Oct 2014.

Yvonne Doll (lead singer, guitar, songwriter)
Yvonne was recently featured in Guitar World Magazine's "Ten Female Guitarists You Should Know", and was awarded a Dean Markely Schloarship.
Doll is also an internationally recognized photographer. Her cell phone photo series "SleepyUrbanite" , landed her an appearance on The Today Show, NBC News, NewsTalk Radio (Ireland),and was featured in VoxPop Magazine (France), TimeOut, The RedEye and more.
Christy Nunes (bass) began playing professionally at the age of 14. She hails from San Diego. Christy has played in a diverse assortment of bands over the years (funk, rock, punk, acoustic and classical/jazz) and brings an element of each to The Locals. Christy's "trademark" stage presence is an unrelenting side to side thrashing of her head (she is currently seeking an endorsement from Tiger Balm).
Tommy Oedering (drums) is the newest addition to The Locals. A skilled drum-smith (that's a real thing), he recently migrate to Chicago from Springfield, MO to make drums for Chicago Custom Percussion. Tommy has been playing and touring relentlessly over the past five years.
