The Blue Rock Boys were formed in September of 2003 by long time friends Pete Wood, Bill Williams, and Erin Daugherty. Shortly afterwards Ben Dean was brought in to play fiddle and round out the trio. In 2005 Ben left the band to head west for school, and Mike Oberst was brought in to fill the gap in the sound. In 2005, the Blue Rock Boys also released their first album. The band continued to on until 2007 when it dissolved.
