The Crick Gypsies

The Crick Gypsies (Cincinnat) Americana When Patrick Ewing isn't doing the solo acoustic thing, he's fronting the Crick Gypsies, a quartet that combines elements of '60s Pop and '70s Psych Folk and Country Rock. You can call it Americana if you need to, but Ewing's style is more personal, conversational and intimate, things that can't be summarized in a simple genre tag. Dig: Bob Dylan and Mike Nesmith busking on the steps of the gilded palace of sin.

The Crick Gypsies played at MidPoint Music Festival in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012, a major festivasl in Cincinnati. They've also played at Roebling Fest in Covington, KY in 2011 and 2013 as well as Browngrass Festival in Rabbit Hash, KY in 2013. The band has played major venues in Cincinnati including Fountain Square, Madison Theater, Southgate House Revival, Arnold's and many others.
