Black Violin blends classical, hip-hop, rock, R&B, and bluegrass music. Named after an album by African-American preeminent jazz swing-era violinist Stuff Smith, the Black Violin duo—Wil B and Kev—will be accompanied by a drummer and a DJ. Black Violin was declared one of the “hottest bands of SXSW” and were invited to perform at both TEDx and Google’s “meeting of the minds” events.
