White Reaper Keep it Short and Sweet

White Reaper just dropped their newest album The World's Best American Band to rave reviews! The album was produced by Kevin Ratterman (My Morning Jacket, Young Widows), guitarist/vocalist Tony Esposito explains the bold album title and band mantra: "Because we are the best. Just like Muhammad Ali was the greatest, you gotta say it out loud for people to believe it."

Boasting textured melodies, layered guitars and more seasoned lyrics, The World's Best American Band finds the quartet busting out of the basement sound established on their previous full length (2015's critically acclaimed White Reaper Does It Again) and setting their sights on the arena.

White Reaper is headed to Madison LIVE this Saturday and then will be playing Bunbury Music Festival!

We chatted with Esposito briefly prior to the shows in Cincinnati.

When did you decide that making music would be your career?
Right before I decided to drop out of college.

I love the title of your album and admire your confidence. What inspires you to be the World’s Best American Band?
We just want to make our parents proud.

What can your fans who have not seen you live before expect?
Well to start out, we're all pretty short guys. It gets pretty sweaty in there, maybe bring a change of clothes just in case.

What is next for White Reaper?
We're gonna tour until we stop to make a new record and then after that we'll go on tour again!
