I started photographing bands with a friends Canon Rebel camera with a 50mm f1.8 lens. If you can shoot bands successfully you can almost shoot any kind of event. I started shooting bands for $25 and an open bar tab and have shot hundreds of local and national bands and I love it. It's so much more fun to edit a band than a corporate event or wedding! It feels really good to help the local bands who need the images more and help them expedite their own careers.
