Dan Bockrath's Profile

Dan Bockrath

I am the co-founder and former publisher of CityBeat. My passion for music, especially artists out of the mainstream, was a huge influence on my decision to enter the alternative weekly industry. In college, while others were listening to disco and top 40, I embraced bands like The Clash, Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello, R.E.M., The Ramones, etc. I enjoy the thrill of the treasure hunt when it comes to discovering new music. My favs so far this year - Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Charly Bliss and most recently Sego.

Stepping Out Of My Concert Comfort Zone

They are fronted by the incredibly talented and dynamic vocalist, Tatiana Schmailyuk with equally talented Roman Ibramkhalilov on guitars, Eugene Abdukhanov on bass and Vladislav Ulasevish on the kit.
