Nervous Verbs is Mike Montgomery's solo project (Candyland Recording Studio / R.RING / AMPLINE). Inspired by R.Ring’s looseness and a growing confidence in spartan songwriting, Montgomery’s latest project - under the Nervous Verbs moniker - further peels back the layers of production and fussiness that might accompany access to a fully appointed studio.

 "It's a way for me to explore songwriting and collaboration with guest musicians. This one started with me on guitar and vocal, playing it through for the first (and only) time ever into my phone's voice memo recorder. I liked the little acoustic guitar 'solo' I played and the easy breezy feel of it all, so I decided that this was not a demo, but the 'take' I would use to build from.
