The Orphan The Poet, Moonbeau, and Marz Hall at Fountain Square

Tonight, don't miss The Orphan The Poet, Moonbeau, and Marz Hall at Fountain Square for Indie Fridays Powered by CincyMusic! It's FREE and the music starts at 7p!

Following in the footsteps of fellow Columbus natives Twenty One Pilots, David Eselgroth (vocals) and Jake Floyd (bass) were raised on a diet of local garage bands and a soundtrack from alt heavyweights Weezer and Green Day. With no go-to local music venue at the time, weekends were spent jamming with like-minded musicians and attending guerilla DIY shows. As personal musical tastes evolved, discovering records from the likes of Phoebe Bridgers and The Driver Era, David and Jake were intent on creating their own imprint of ear-grabbing alt-rock, culminating in the formation of The Orphan The Poet.

Moonbeau, the captivating synth-pop duo hailing from Cincinnati and rural Kentucky, is redefining nostalgia with their unique blend of heartfelt melodies and irresistible beats. Moonbeau is the brainchild of Christian Gough (Guitar/Vocals), with Callie Budrick (Keys/Vocals). Together, they craft an immersive musical experience that sparks a new wave of excitement within the synth-pop genre, drawing influences from the likes of CHRCVHES, M83, The Midnight, Phil Collins, Bleachers, and The 1975.

Marz Hall is punk by nature, pop by choice. The energy from their live show is unsurmountable. Tonight they will be debuting two new songs!
