Taking their name from the infamous outlaw duo of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, Parker Barrow is a powerhouse, blues-infused Southern rock ‘n’ roll band led by vocalist Megan Kane and her husband and drummer Dylan Turner. When a chance meeting brought them together in 2019, the pair immediately hit it off and within the span of two weeks formed an acoustic duo and hit the road full-time – where they have lived ever since. In 2023 Parker Barrow expanded into a full band, with the current line-up also including musical director Alex Bender, and on guitar, and Michael Breckhart on bass.
The band’s vintage sound contains elements of rock, blues, soul, and country music, but Parker Barrow’s brand of music is unmistakably and distinctively their own. Kane was raised on old-school country including Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, while Turner grew up listening to classic rock bands like the Allman Brothers and the Rolling Stones alongside more contemporary blues-rockers like the Black Crowes and Tedeschi-Trucks Band.
Matt Rouch & The Noise Upstairs originally formed in Denver when singer-songwriter Matt Rouch moved there in 2015. The band quickly rose to prominence in Colorado with their music being described as James Taylor meets the Fleet Foxes. When he moved to Cincinnati in 2022 he formed a new iteration of the group and kept the playing style - a folk rock, alternative country band - or "y'all-ternative" as it's been described by some. When he met Greta Propp, another newcomer to Cincy, who's fiddling chops were some of the best he had heard, Rouch knew it was time to fill out the group and get the ball rolling with the Cincinnati version of Matt Rouch & The Noise Upstairs.
Easy Mark has been popping up all over town in various venues. Whether solo or accompanied by seasoned local musicians, it's a show with songs with meaning, humor, and a heart of rhinestones. Easy Mark recently released the video for "Back On My Bullshit" from his debut album, The Neon Troubadour which dropped on August 2nd!
