Mac Sabbath Return to Woodward Theater

Returning to the Woodward Theater after a 5-year hiatus from playing Cincinnati, please welcome Ronald Osbourne and the wormhole-traveling Monsanto mutants of Mac Sabbath! Making the rounds on their 10th Anniversary tour, it’s hard to believe any of us will eat fast food again. As a purveyor of the strange myself, I have been waiting for these guys to come around again. A brief glance at a photo and you instantly reminisce about those McDonald Land characters, but on closer inspection, this is a more sinister-looking bunch. Identities closely guarded like so many other masked metal icons, Mac Sabbath makes our imaginations run wild watching the evil-looking quartet play some iconic Black Sabbath songs with a twist.

As with most satirical expressions, Mac Sabbath can promote the message of fast food’s health risks and societal influence while treating crowds to a night enhanced by the sounds of the most influential heavy metal band in history. It’s been said that Black Sabbath came to warn us about evil, but Mac Sabbath is here to warn of the evil of fast food. When their manager was asked about the show, he described it as a "whole experience. It's almost like watching a Vegas show with a Broadway play mixed into a standup comedy act. And then these creatures look like something walking around at Disneyland or something. It's too many things that aren't regular rock 'n' roll, put into one thing."

Being wormed in from the 1970s has created a fear of our current technology and many warnings of chaos from (Ronald) Osbourne himself. This band of misfits scoffs at MP3s or CDs, and apparently streaming is certainly not an option. To hear the musings of this crew you will have to accept their reality, and just come out to the show.
