Noah Smith's Crooner Circus Nashville Nights Takeover features hit songwriters from Nashville TN + local Cincinnati favorites!
The story behind Nashville Nights started when Grammy-nominated songwriter and engineer, Blue Foley, and Danish entrepreneur and songwriter, Stefan Mork, met in Nashville, Tennessee in 2018 at the fundraiser for the late Randall Clay, one of Nashville’s most beloved songwriters and a dear friend to, Blue, and country star, Ashley McBryde.
“I came to Nashville to build a network, become a better songwriter and get inspired on how to spread awareness of country music in Scandinavia.” - Stefan Mork
Blue and Stefan's joint vision of creating an international hub where songwriters across borders could meet and share their talent with each other and the audience. A place for everyone to get inspired, educated and motivated. In 2021 they launched the first Nashville Nights International Songwriters Festival in Denmark, connecting songwriters from eight different countries and featuring some of Europe’s and Nashville’s biggest hit writers and artists and a bunch of new raw talent. This year the festival presents a lineup with artists and songwriters from 12 different countries and is now supported by the local city council with a three-year deal.
Blue also partnered with Jim Kaufman (With a background as both a multi instrumentalist and songwriter, Jim began his music industry career leading one of the early millennium’s most influential post industrial rock bands, Opiate For The Masses. Jim now owns his own recording facility in Santa Monica) and Tracie Hitz (owner of Hitz & Branding, which provides strategic direction, marketing, management, booking and more to songwriters and artists around the country) to bring the Nashville experience to people all around the world.
According to Noah Smith, the founder of Crooner Circus, "I started the Crooner Circus in 2018 💯 because I met people in Nashville who loved songs as much as I do. It blew my mind the first couple writers rounds I got to see and then soon be a part of. I wanted that for my city. I wanted that for my friends. I know there are great songwriters in this city. I think our scene just needed something to give us permission to show up for each other. Crooner Circus is that! Nashville is the song capital of the world and with some of my favorite co-writers like Blue Foley and Brock Butler on the bill Nashville Nights is bringing that energy to the Queen City! This show means a ton to me. I think it means even more to our city! "
