Charlie John Releases Upbeat New Single "Cheer Up"

Charlie John, the talented Pop musician and recording artist, released a new single titled "Cheer Up" that promises to lift listeners' spirits and spread a much needed message regarding mental illness and it's view in society.

"Cheer Up" features edgy electric guitars, hard hitting piano, and is infused with a sarcastic response when being told to "Cheer Up" when you have anxiety or depression or something that isn't that easy to fix. The song is a celebration of mental illness and aims to spread awareness to those who aren't as informed on the subject, and is also sure to be a hit with fans of The Band Camino, The Wldlfe, COIN and Indie/Pop music in general.

John has been making music for 12 years, and has quickly become known for his singing and songwriting - having been asked 3 years in a row by producers to tryout privately for the national TV show The Voice. Charlie has also won 2 Ohio Music Awards for songwriting and the Grand Prize in the Songdoor 2016 International Songwriting Competition with his song “Change Me”. Charlie will also be showcasing an original set this year at the SXSW Conference in Austin, TX on March 16 2023. This new song "Cheer Up" is a testament to John's skill as a songwriter and musician, and is sure to solidify his position as a rising star in the Pop scene.

When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Charlie said, "I wanted to create something that would remind people and society that most of the time people's problems are much harder to solve than you realize. I wanted to say that you should get to know someone before judging them and just telling them to quickly feel better when that simply isn't possible"

"Cheer Up" will be available TODAY on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp or anywhere else you find music, and is a must-listen for anyone in need of an uplifting power rock anthem.
