Sonja Morgan is a favorite on Bravo's, "Real Housewives of New York." Morgan has launched a nine-city leg of her 'Sonja in Your City' tour, with the first stop being in Cincinnati at Bogart's! 'Sonja in Your City' will feature improv comedy with Morgan, as well as local acts, including drag acts and stand-up comedians.
 
 Morgan has been with the cast of RHONY since 2010. We have all witnessed highs and lows with our favorite housewife while she has always carried on with her joie de vivre.

 CincyMusic was over the moon to chat with Sonja prior to the show at Bogart's!

Cincinnati is honored to be the first stop on your tour! Have you been to Cincinnati before?
I can’t believe I've never been! I can’t wait, and I’m very interested in seeing Ohio in general. I also have a June 25th date in Columbus at the Davidson. I’ve had a couple of interns from Ohio State in fact! They are joining us at Bogart's in Cincinnati.

I know you can do it all, comedy, caburlesque, run empires... But what can we expect at your Sonja in Your City show?
Pure fun and silliness. It’s a lot of improv bits that involve the audience, so a lot of what happens depends on who’s there! I definitely feel that after lockdown people really want to just have a good time, and that’s what we do - We always have a greeeeat tiiiiime!

You know I have to ask, what does Luann think of your tour? And will any Jovani dresses be worn on stage or only Sonja by Sonja Morgan?
 Hahaha! Luann knows me for a long time and I’ve always performed impromptu at a charity, at a piano bar, or a gay bar. Lu and I have different styles, she sings and has the fabulous cabaret show. Sonja in Your City is all about comedy, and having a goofy, stupid time with some sing song skits I’m known for doing. Very tongue in cheek. But we're both entertainers at heart. I love connecting personally with the audiences. As for what I’m wearing, you’ll have to come and see, but there’s always some Sonja Morgan New York in the rotation! And we have lots of Sonja Sangria to sample as well.

Will you be bringing any interns to assist you on tour? Is Marley coming?
 I always bring an Intern for the experience on their resume. Whatever I do. It helps them figure out what they like for a career. It’s so funny Marley’s on Instagram now, so he has so many supporters who love him.

Can you tell us what local acts will join you at Bogart’s?
 That’s going to be a surprise, but if you know me... we always have a drag queen, of course! And one local standup comedian in each town. Then we have my phenomenal cast mates: Matt C Brooks, Doug Widick, and our musical director Adrien Pellerin.

What are you most looking forward to with your Sonja in Your City tour as a whole?
 When my Chief Lifestyle Officer position disappeared at Century 21 with their bankruptcy due to COVID, I was looking for a way to give back and make people feel good about themselves. I let them know they’re not alone on this journey. And now that we’re not locked down, it feels so good to laugh and to connect with people.
