Inspired by The Band CAMINO, Ben Rector and Andy Grammer, this song attempts to reply to people who try tell you to simply “Cheer Up” when you’re down. Here’s what Charlie had to say about the release:

“I suffer from extreme, debilitating anxiety and I have been for 17 years now. This song serves as a reminder to others that telling me to simply "cheer up" will not solve the problem immediately. Therefore, the sarcastic line of the chorus being - "Why didn't I ever think of just cheering the f*ck up?"
