6th Annual Rock n' Revival at The Southgate House Revival

Cincinnati psych/pop band The Grove is hosting its 6th annual cancer benefit, Rock n’ Revival for a Cure, at The Southgate House Revival on Saturday! Twenty-four local and regional bands will perform in three rooms at Southgate House Revival for a pop, rock, psychedelic, funk, cocktail of entertainment.

The first benefit was founded in 2016 after John Forsthoefel, father of The Grove band’s Forsthoefel brothers, Adam and Matthew, was diagnosed with brain cancer (Glioblastoma) in 2015. Sadly, their father passed away. The musical brothers created the benefit to help other families struggling with a brain cancer diagnosis. All proceeds from the event benefit the John Forsthoefel for Glioblastoma Research Fund at the University of Cincinnati (UC) Brain Tumor Center. The Fundraiser was last held in 2020 and hosted 24 bands, over 1000 in attendance, with over $10,000 raised, making the event the 2nd most attended concert at the Southgate House Revival!

The Forsthoefel brothers hope to exceed the previous year’s attendance and financial goals by hosting a music event for all tastes and ages while highlighting Cincinnati’s diverse, and vibrant musical talents.
