The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Cincinnati Pops have announced several additions to the 2021-22 season for summer and fall including a MusicNOW collaboration!

Music Director Louis Langrée and the CSO will rekindle their longtime collaboration with MusicNOW, the contemporary music and arts festival founded in 2006 by Bryce Dessner, a Cincinnati native who is a guitarist in the rock band The National and a prolific composer of orchestral, instrumental and vocal music.

On Friday, September 24 at 7:30pm at Music Hall, Langrée and the CSO welcome pianist Daniil Trifonov to perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4. Headlining the program is folk supergroup Bonny Light Horseman who bring signature fan favorites and brand-new music with special arrangements for Orchestra by Dessner.

On Saturday, September 25 at 7:30pm Sō Percussion shine with their unconventional instrumentation in David Lang’s man made. Trifonov returns to perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and the Orchestra performs Bryce Dessner’s Quilting, an examination of the art of musical patchworking.
