Kristen Lynn is a local solo singer/songwriter and was half of the local band Highway Avenue. She has been performing for over a decade and is in the process of recording her album, The Scoundress.
Lynn has played all over town at places such as The Southgate House Revival, Art in the Park (Bellevue), NKY Music Festival (Devou Park), Serenity Jam (Eden Park), Leaping Lizard, Hotel Covington, and frequented the Wunderbar Open Mic Night. Just as so many other artists, COVID has put a damper on performing at venues, so she has been going Live often from her Facebook Page in recent months.
Having survived many traumas in her lifetime thus far, she has come out the other side kicking and ready to thrive. Per Lynn, “I want to be connected to people, to everyone- I want to let them know they’re not alone. I want to be a part of their road trips. I want to rejoice and cut loose with them. Celebrate their accomplishments with them like James Brown celebrates mine with me. I want to be a part of people’s lives, their moments. I want to send that love vibe into their lives and into those moments through my music.”
The Scoundress is an album filled with compilations of stories and situations from her personal life as well as the struggles of others that she has witnessed.
Times are tough for all artists these days, and any help she can get to help with the completion of the album are greatly appreciated.
