This Saturday, Thrive Stream with CincyMusic LIVE will be hosting a cooking class with Madeline Ndambakuwa of The Welcome Project at 6p!

What you will need to cook along with Madeline:

 Ingredients

1 large butternut squash or buttercup squash

Baked or cooked (seeded)

  • 2-3 Tbs creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 -1 cup Organic milk
  • 1/2 stick Organic Irish ButterOptional

To Garnish

  • Fresh pumpkin seeds
  • Dry or fresh parsley

Optional

  • Cream
  • Dry or fresh parsley
  • Milk instead of water
  • Brown raw sugar or raw honey

Madeline Ndambakuwa is a communications expert, a painter, an illustrator, a poet, and a chef, originally from Harare, Zimbabwe. She immigrated in 2001 to Cincinnati, Ohio a sister city to Harare. She believes that in every adversity, there is a gifted champion or game changer rising with strength and resilience, ready to change the world and leave a lasting impact. Ndambakuwa has worked with The Welcome Project as an exhibiting artist, a guest teacher, and as a featured chef. The Welcome Project is a social enterprise project of Wave Pool Art Center that empowers Cincinnati's refugee and immigrant population while connecting and uplifting the broader community through art and food. As part of their response to COVID19, Wave Pool has transformed The Welcome Project into an emergency food pantry and has been delivering both food and art to neighbors in need.
