MUSE, Cincinnati’s Women’s Choir Presents WE DON’T STOP

For 36 years, MUSE has stood strong in its commitment to social justice, musical excellence, and programs that promote and inspire change and empowerment within and around our community. This season is no exception, as we have dedicated this spring concert to uplifting and speaking life and power to ALL women.

The 36th Annual Spring Concert on May 18 at House of Joy, 2pm and 7pm, will pay homage to the boisterous voices of women, whose power rests in her will to push through the adversities that she faces daily, and the taboos that she must overcome to prove her worth: she realizes her worth and implores you to get on board!

MUSE will premier two arrangements in this concert: “I Was Here,” recorded and performed by feminist activist Beyonce Knowles, and “I’m Every Woman,” composed by Chaka Khan, later covered by Whitney Houston. Along with the other concert repertoire, the two songsdig deep within the mind and soul of a woman who is empowered, who talks about the desire to leave her “footprints on the sands of time,” because she is gifted, talented, and good enough to make a difference in this world: “it’s all in me.”

"MUSE has always stood firm in its commitment to feminism, that womanhood and women's empowerment never takes a back seat in a male-dominated society. This concert reaffirms that among the many controversial issues that we seek to address as an organization of peace and social justice, that our first priority is the protection and empowerment of women in our communities, nation, and across the world. We dedicate this concert to doing just that!" -Jillian Harrison-Jones, MUSE Music Director
