Catch The 1975 at Bunbury

When The 1975 closed their May 12th stop at Riverbend, I was immediately left with the feeling of wanting to see them again. Thankfully, singer Matty Healy stated Ohio and all its emo glory don’t get enough shout outs, and are returning for Bunbury as a headlining act on Sunday, June 2nd!

So what exactly can be expected from The 1975? Quite a lot, actually. Expect to dance and reflect. Expect stunning visuals, self-aware humor, sincerity, choreography, glitz, glam, guitars and above all: an emotionally satisfying experience. The 1975 provides moments of emotional intimacy that go hand-in-hand with their upbeat anthems.

There may be a slight possibility of new music. Beats 1 reported via Twitter that the band would be releasing new music on May 31, 2019. However, this has been denied by one of Dirty Hit’s founders, Jamie Oborne.

Regardless, what can definitely be expected is an exceptional headlining show by a band that excels in live performances. If their recent Cincinnati showing is any indicator, you’ll get hints of feeling like you’re experiencing something truly magical from The 1975.
