Big River Get Down Back in JAM!LTON

David Shaw's Big River Get Down Presented by Miller Lite will take place on September 7th at RiversEdge Amphitheater in Hamilton, Ohio! The event is a special one for Shaw, the charismatic frontman of chart-topping rock band The Revivalists as it’s turned into a national destination for fans across the country as he gives back to his hometown community that has given so much.

In 2017, Hamilton’s City Council adopted a law honorarily changing the name of the city to “JAM!LTON” and appointing David Shaw as Mayor of JAM!LTON on an annual basis during Big River Get Down. Marking the fifth anniversary of Big River Get Down, this year’s event includes “An Evening with David Shaw” on September 6th, an intimate solo acoustic performance part of the JAM!LTON VIP Experience package. On September 7th, the event will feature a headlining performance by The Revivalists with additional performances by The War And TreatyBrent Cobb, Southern Avenue, Neal Francis, and Chris Gelbuda. All proceeds from the festival will be donated to the City of Hamilton's 4th of July fireworks and RiversEdge Concert Series.

“David Shaw, The Revivalists and The Revs management team and agent (C3 & Phil Egenthal) essentially helped me build RiversEdge & Big River Get Down. When I started the concert series, we had an old broke-down show wagon and a power supply...that's it. I was so naive that I thought bands showed up with their own PA, lights and everything. Over the years, I basically got an internship with The Revivalists' team on concert production. They've opened so many doors for RiversEdge and live music in Hamilton and let's be real, if not for David Shaw, there's no way The Revivalists are playing in Hamilton every year...or ever. The Big River Get Down has donated more than $100k to the community and free concerts at RiversEdge over the past 4 years.”– Adam Helms
