The one and only Liz Phair will be at 20th Century Theatre tonight! She is touring following the release of this spring's Girly-Sound to Guyville, a 25th anniversary box set commemorating her zeitgeist-defining album, Exile in Guyville, and its equally resonant collection of demo songs.
This tour, called the Amps On The Lawn tour, will be the first time Phair plays many of these songs live. who has sold more than 5 million albums worldwide, three of which have gone gold. She is one of the most important musical voices of the last 25 years. More than two decades after the release of her debut, Phair's influence in contemporary music, particularly over female voices in alternative music, can be felt today more than ever. The wildfire response to the release of Girly-Sound to Guyville recemented Phair as an artist whose work is as meaningful in 2018 as it was in 1993.
