New RnB and Hip-Hop radio station, illSONIC Radio, will launch Friday, July 27th, in partnership with INHAILER Radio. At 12:00 am sharp, illSONIC will begin to fill the airwaves with the best in local and global RnB and Hip-Hop on illsonicradio.com, with its first full day of programming beginning at 7:00AM.
illSONIC Radio will stream 24/7 with resident DJ's including DJ Wavy Moe (Music Director), and L-Train (Program Director). Monday through Friday 7am to 7pm, local DJ's will be on air promoting music discovery and local concerts. illSONIC Radio will also launch an app in August 2018 for easy listening.
Celebrating its kick off, illSONIC Radio’s official launch party will be held on Thursday, July 26th, from 10pm-2am at Aster in Downtown Cincinnati. The party will kick off the launch and Cincinnati Music Festival weekend with Dayne Jordan (DJ Jazzy Jeff’s MC) and live performances by Lauren Eylise, TRIIIBE, Audley, and Kelby Savage. Pvxce Productions and DJ Wavy More will provide the sound for the night as well.
INHAILER radio was founded in the wake of beloved local radio station WNKU. At the start of 2018 they began regular broadcast 7am-7pm and continue to expand their reach throughout the music scene. The partnership with ILLSONIC Radio comes from a founding principle that communities thrive when diverse people come together for live entertainment, music, arts and culture.
Danielle Morris, Founder and Station Director, started with her show DM in the PM on INHAILER Radio and now brings over her talent to illSonic. “We saw what INHAILERRadio was doing for the indie community and the platform it was providing for local artists and we wanted to give back to the R&B and Hip-Hop community in the same way.” Morris stated. “Cincinnati has so much music talent right now, and it’s important they have a streaming outlet that recognizes that.”
The partnership between INHAILER Radio and illSONIC Radio allows for the broadcast community to produce original multimedia content and give a voice to creatives of all types.
