Las Vegas-based Hip-Hop Jazz band The Lique is headed to Rivers Edge this Thursday with The New Respects as part of their cross-country Live So Free Tour in support of their second album Times Like These! Featuring rapper Rasar backed by a quartet of multifaceted instrumentalists steeped in the traditions of jazz, The Lique’s adventurous stylings deliver songs that aim to both question our social structures and uplift our human spirits.
“The Lick,” the first single from the new album, explains not only how the band formed and chose its name, but what the listener can unexpectedly expect from The Lique’s music. Stereofox calls it "one of the most uplifting things on the live instrumental hip hop scene I've stumbled upon…Soul, jazz and hip-hop heads will all find something to grab onto and before you realize, you'll be wrapped in The Lique’s avant-garde world.”
See you Thursday at Rivers Edge for The Lique and The New Respects. It’s a free show, so no excuses!
