The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band at Rivers Edge

Mark your calendar for Thursday, June 14th! One of the best live bands on the planet, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band is going to be at Rivers Edge in Hamilton. Opening the evening will be Joseph Huber Band.

Rivers Edge is an amazing venue with a simple purpose: Build community by bringing people together by the power of music. Concerts at Rivers Edge are FREE and all ages.

The Indiana based trio has established themselves among the premiere purveyors of Americana Country Blues. At the same time, they've also built a reputation as one of the hardest working acts in the business, playing some 250 dates a year. The band, fronted by "Reverend" Josh Peyton on guitar and vocals, his wife "Washboard" Breezy Peyton on washboard and vocals and cousin Aaron "Cuz" Persinger on drums, is truly a family affair. In many ways, the group, and the music they play, embody all of the down-home idealism you'd expect from a Midwestern Americana act; Love of home, love of family, respect for tradition and hard work.

Southern Indiana-bred singer-guitarist Reverend Peyton is the bigger-than-life frontman of Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band. He has earned a reputation as both a singularly compelling performer and a persuasive evangelist for the rootsy country blues styles that captured his imagination early in life and inspired him and his band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi to study under such blues masters as T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour and David “Honeyboy” Edwards.
