21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati Presents (c)horus

(c)horus is the place where ideas and people meet to exchange opinions on the most influential cultural happenings in The Queen City and beyond. Inspired by the mission of 21c - that art can anchor and energize a community - (c)horus is an evening of creative discourse. Each iteration of (c)horus will bring a new issue facing the creative community of Cincinnati, ranging from music, branding, to our local food scene.

The overall message for (c)horusaccording to Eli Meiners, Director of Museum Operations, 21c Museum Hotels, “At 21c we strive to act as a conduit to and for the local community. We hope to share ideas and start conversations through contemporary art. We hope (c)horus is another way to do that. Ideally, (c)horus will be a place where ideas and people meet to exchange opinions on the most influential cultural happenings in Cincinnati and beyond.”

On Thursday, May 24ththe subject matter is music. An issue that holds a deep interest for us here at CincyMusic. They will be taking a journey through the music industry’s impact on the image of the city we love, and how as a collective community we can further develop our entertainment scene, local musicians’ careers, and the business of sound.

In Meiners eyes, the perfect local music scene would be, “In my unqualified opinion, the perfect local music scene would be diverse, inclusive, rigorous, and fun. Frankly it’s there but, as Raymond Loewy said, “Never leave well enough alone.” We hope (c)horus leads to ideas that can improve our already great scene.”
