Inaugural Bourbon and Beyond This Weekend

Next Saturday, September 23rd the inaugural Bourbon and Beyond kicks off at Champions Park in Louisville, KY and runs through Sunday evening. The weekend long event is expected to draw thousands of people from all across the region. Festivalgoers that attend both days and don’t want to drive home between days have the option to camp on site or to take up lodging in some of the nearby hotels.

Billed as the perfect blend of bourbon, food and music Bourbon and beyond seems to have all of the ingredients of a perfect festival. There’s something that appeals to a wide variety of people which makes for a great time and the perfect way to usher in the fall season.

If you like bourbon this is definitely the place to be! Over 30 bourbon brands will be joined by bourbon masters to host workshops, conduct demonstrations and of course quench your thirst.

Nationally known chefs such as Edward Lee, Carla Hall, Chris Cosentino and others will be onsite at Bourbon and Beyond to talk food and interact with the crowd on the Mash Stage. In addition some of Louisville’s most popular restaurants will be on hand to tempt and satisfy taste buds.

That leads us to the music! Saturday’s’ music lineup features the likes of ZZ Ward, Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepard and others and is headlined by Eddie Vedder and the Steve Miller Band. Sunday’s lineup is equally impressive with the heavy hitters such as Nikki Lane, Gary Clark Jr., Joe Bonamassa and headliner Stevie Nicks taking the stage.
