Party Like a Rock Star with Music Resource Center

Music Resource Center (MRC), is hosting their largest annual fundraiser on Friday, August 25th at the historic Woodward Theater in Over-the-Rhine. “Party Like a Rock Star” runs from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. The evening features food, live and silent auctions, and the opportunity for anyone to be a rock star for a night, singing their favorite songs backed on stage by Sexy Time Live Band Karaoke.

Music Resource Center is a non-profit, culturally diverse music education and recording studio located in Evanston/East Walnut Hills that uses music production and performance experiences to teach teens important life skills and enhance academic achievement.

Tickets for “Party Like a Rock Star” are $75 in advance and each ticket includes craft beer, wine, food, and free valet so guests can pull up, drop their keys off, and party like a real rock star.

Auction items include tickets AND exclusive travel from Ultimate Air Shuttle to see the Broadway smash hit, “Hamilton,” a bourbon tasting hosted by Molly Wellman, a special edition Gibson Les Paul guitar, tickets to local concerts, sporting events, and more.

All proceeds from “Party Like a Rock Star” are used to further MRC’s efforts. Last year, MRC provided mentoring and studio engineering training to over 400 teens, and their staff and volunteers taught 450 music lessons to 52 teen members. Teens who participate regularly in music not only hone their abilities to focus, think, organize, and work with others but begin to master their own, often challenging, emotional lives, and develop important life skills.
